An ode to the intertwining paths of memory, travel, and origins, "Fratellanza" is an audiovisual installation and performance that transgresses borders and traditional media. Rooted in the heart of two of Europe's most vibrant cities, Paris and Berlin, it is a collaboration that brings together the creative minds of Luis Cardel, Isabelle Hoonan, and Francesca Villa. Conceptual Framework: Drawing inspiration from Rebecca Solnit's musings on "The Path of Psychogeography," "Fratellanza" delves into the notion of crafting the world as we tread its paths. It challenges the ephemeral nature of places and people, elevating them to enduring "monuments" of personal journeys and memories.

Manifestation: The unique methodology chosen for "Fratellanza" is as symbolic as it is artistic. The trio embarked on an evocative exercise of visual stream of consciousness, typing their intertwined thoughts on plain printer paper. These sheets, bearing fragments of introspection, were then audaciously pasted around Berlin's iconic Potsdamer Platz, a spectacle that was meticulously filmed. The Parisian chapter of this journey adopted a similar method, yet the nuances of the city and its ambiance rendered a distinctly different experience. Final Act: Culminating this journey is the "Fratellanza" installation - a meticulously mapped paper wall that serves as a canvas of their collective memories. Here, the experiences from both cities merge, bringing forth phrases and visuals that resonate with the essence of their journey. The projection on this wall is more than just a recounting; it is an invitation for viewers to immerse themselves in the intricate dance of memories and discoveries. As one stands before it, there's an overwhelming sensation of navigating an unfamiliar city, echoing the disorienting yet exhilarating experience of getting lost. "Fratellanza" isn't just an art piece. It's an experiential tapestry woven with threads of memories, explorations, and profound introspections. It challenges perceptions, urging viewers to seek, remember, and ultimately, find meaning in the labyrinth of life.
